GovBot Weather, Water & Floods
Read-only access to public weather, rainfall, river and flood records for a location, a state or a county. No account or sign-in is required.
Sources
- National Weather Service: seven-day point forecasts and active alerts (weather.gov), Local Storm Reports and storm-based flood warning polygons (as distributed by the Iowa Environmental Mesonet).
- FEMA: the OpenFEMA IPAWS public alert archive, and FEMA flood study water-surface elevations by annual chance from FEMA Map Service Center study tables.
- NOAA: MRMS radar-gauge daily rainfall estimates, NOAA Atlas 14 precipitation frequency and National Water Prediction Service gauge metadata.
- USGS: active stream-site inventory. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers: National Levee Database inventory.
Each result states its source and date. Live records are read from the publishers under their published terms; FEMA flood study tables are a dated snapshot.

Scope and support
For current warnings and safety decisions, use official National Weather Service products at weather.gov, local emergency officials and Wireless Emergency Alerts. Archived and historical records are not current warnings. Rainfall frequency and flood study elevations are statistics and model results, not forecasts, observed water levels or regulatory determinations; the FEMA Flood Map Service Center is authoritative for flood maps. The service does not certify flood safety or provide insurance, engineering or legal determinations. GovBot is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA, the National Weather Service, FEMA, USGS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or any government agency.
